1. Our Principles

Seenfold is an attention market. We publish Markets, topics selected for wider distribution, and independent Clippers make short videos that earn real views for them. Because a Market puts a topic in front of real people, what gets amplified matters. This policy explains what Seenfold will and will not amplify, and it binds the Markets we publish, the videos made for them, and everyone who uses the Service.

Four principles guide everything below:

  • Amplify real things. A Market must be about something true and identifiable, not a fabrication, a hoax, or a shell for a hidden agenda.
  • Be truthful. Claims made in a Market and in the videos it funds must be accurate and not designed to mislead.
  • Do no harm. Attention is powerful. We do not amplify content that endangers, degrades, defrauds, or targets people.
  • Follow the rules of the room. Creators must follow the law that applies to them and the rules of the platform they post on, including any disclosure those rules require.

This policy works alongside our Terms of Service. Where a platform such as TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube applies stricter rules, those rules also apply to any video posted there.

2. How Markets Are Created

Markets on this site are created or approved by Seenfold before they are published. Funding a Market does not give a Backer editorial control over the videos made for it.

Anyone may suggest a topic to us, and we apply this policy when we decide what to publish. A suggestion is not a Market: we review what we can, we are under no obligation to publish anything, we may change a topic's scope, and we do not explain every decision.

Organizations that fund a private campaign rather than a public Market are subject to this policy in full, and the topics and videos in a private campaign are reviewed the same way.

3. What We Amplify

In plain terms: real people, real causes, and real moments that deserve to be seen.

Markets are listed under the categories shown on the site, and good ones tend to look like this:

  • Under-covered issues. A story the news cycle dropped, a humanitarian situation that has fallen out of view, a climate or public-health effort that could use more eyes.
  • Causes and organizations. A nonprofit campaign, a relief fund, a research effort, or a community initiative doing work worth seeing.
  • People and their work. An independent or underdog person and what they are building: an author, an athlete, a musician, a founder, or a public figure whose message deserves a wider hearing.
  • Moments. A public event or piece of work worth seeing: a premiere, a launch, a fundraiser, a performance, or a milestone.

The common thread is simple. The subject is real, the amplification is honest, and reaching more people is a good outcome for the audience, not just for the Backer.

4. Prohibited Content

Some things we will never amplify, no matter who is funding them. A Market, or any video made for it, may not include or promote the following.

Illegal activity or goods

  • Weapons, firearms, explosives, or accessories designed to circumvent the law.
  • Illegal drugs, controlled substances, or content that facilitates their sale.
  • Counterfeit goods, stolen property, or any product or service that is illegal to sell.
  • Instructions for committing crimes or evading law enforcement.

Fraud, scams, and deceptive claims

  • Scams, phishing, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, and get-rich-quick offers.
  • Fake giveaways, fake fundraising, or soliciting money under false pretenses.
  • Misleading, exaggerated, or unsubstantiated claims about a product, person, or outcome.

Hate, harassment, and degradation

  • Hate speech or content that attacks or dehumanizes people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, disability, or serious disease.
  • Harassment, bullying, or coordinated campaigns to intimidate or shame a person.
  • Content that degrades or promotes hatred toward a protected group.

Targeting private individuals

  • Targeting, defaming, or running a negative campaign against a private person.
  • Doxxing, publishing private or identifying information, or revealing someone's location without consent.

Violence and dangerous acts

  • Threats of violence, incitement, or glorification of violent or terrorist acts.
  • Content that encourages self-harm, suicide, or dangerous activities.

Adult content and content that endangers minors

  • Sexually explicit or pornographic material, and adult sexual services.
  • Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors, or puts a child at risk. We report such content to the appropriate authorities.

Misinformation that causes harm

  • Election and voting misinformation, including false claims about how, when, or where to vote, and content designed to suppress participation.
  • Health misinformation, including false or dangerous medical, vaccine, or treatment claims.
  • Financial misinformation, including deceptive investment, crypto, or trading claims.

Impersonation, infringement, and inauthentic activity

  • Impersonating a person, brand, or organization, or falsely implying an endorsement.
  • Infringing copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property you do not have the rights to use.
  • Spam, deceptive engagement, and other inauthentic behavior described in Section 7.

5. Political and Advocacy Markets

Political and advocacy Markets are allowed, and we publish them across the spectrum. Seenfold is nonpartisan. We do not favor a party, candidate, or cause, and we will amplify voices on any side that follow the rules.

Because these Markets shape public debate, they carry extra responsibility. They must:

  • Be truthful, with claims that are accurate and not designed to deceive voters.
  • Be about public figures, public issues, or public offices, not private individuals.
  • Be clearly disclosed as sponsored, and where required, carry paid-for-by or similar attribution.
  • Comply with all applicable election, campaign finance, and advertising laws in the relevant jurisdiction.

We do not run voter suppression content, false claims about the voting process, or attacks on private citizens. Seenfold may apply heightened review, added disclosure, or timing limits on political Markets, especially in the period near an election.

6. Markets About a Person

In plain terms: uplift people, do not go after them.

A Market can center on a public figure, or on a consenting individual and their own work. When a Market centers on a specific living person, we look for consent, public interest, or both before we publish it.

  • Allowed: amplifying a public figure's message, a creator or artist's work, a person's own campaign or fundraiser, or an individual who has agreed to be marketed.
  • Not allowed: targeting, harassing, shaming, or running a negative or retaliatory campaign against a private person, or marketing someone in a way that exposes them to harm.

Public figures can be discussed and criticized in matters of public interest. Private individuals are not fair game for paid amplification aimed against them. If you are suggesting a Market and are unsure whether a subject counts as public, assume they are private and tell us so we can make the call.

7. Authenticity and Manipulation

The whole point of Seenfold is real attention from real people. Anything that fakes that undermines the market and is prohibited.

  • No purchased, fake, or bot-driven views, likes, follows, or comments.
  • No view farms, click farms, or automated engagement of any kind.
  • No attempts to game, spoof, or manipulate measurement, view counts, or Clipper payouts.
  • No coordinated inauthentic behavior, sock puppet networks, or artificial amplification.
  • No spam, duplicate flooding, or misleading thumbnails and titles designed to trick viewers into clicking.

We monitor for inauthentic activity and will withhold payouts, void views, and remove content or accounts that engage in it.

8. Enforcement

We review before we amplify, and we keep watching after a Market goes live.

  • Review before launch. Every Market is reviewed against this policy before it is published. We decline topics, narrow their scope, or ask for more information as needed.
  • Ongoing monitoring. We continue to monitor active Markets and the videos funded through them, and these standards apply for the full life of a campaign.
  • Actions we may take. Depending on the issue, we may pause, refund, or remove a Market, take down individual videos, withhold payouts, or suspend and terminate accounts. We may act at any time and, where warranted, without notice.

If we remove a Market before its views are delivered, undelivered contributions are refunded under Section 6 of the Terms of Service. We aim to be consistent and proportionate, and we weigh context, intent, and public interest. Seenfold retains final discretion over what we will amplify.

9. Reporting and Appeals

If you believe a Market or video breaks this policy, tell us. If we took an action you think was wrong, you can appeal.

Email hello@vergeclips.com with the Market or video link and a short description. For appeals, include what happened and why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. We review what comes in and respond where we can. Copyright complaints have their own process, set out in Section 12 of the Terms of Service.

10. Changes to This Policy

Seenfold is early, and this policy will evolve as the attention market grows and as platform and legal standards change. When we make material changes, we will update this page and adjust the effective date. Continued use of Seenfold after an update means you accept the current version. For questions about this policy, contact hello@vergeclips.com. Seenfold is operated by Verge Clips, Inc.
