1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information Seenfold collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Seenfold is operated by Verge Clips, Inc., a Delaware corporation, which is the data controller for the information described here.

Seenfold operates an attention market: we publish Markets, topics selected for wider distribution, Backers fund them, and we pay independent creators (Clippers) to make short-form videos on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts that earn real views. This policy applies to our websites, apps, and services (together, the "Service").

By using the Service you also agree to our Terms of Service. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

In short, we collect the information you give us, the information created when you fund or deliver a Market, and technical information about how you use the Service.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, username, password, and role (for example, Backer or Clipper). You may choose to add a profile photo, a display name, and links to your social accounts.

Contribution and Transaction Data

When you fund a Market or receive a payout, we collect information about the transaction, including amounts, the Markets involved, timestamps, and payout details. Payments are processed by Stripe. Seenfold does not store full payment card numbers. Stripe provides us with limited information such as a payment token, the last four digits of a card, the card brand, and the transaction result.

Topic Suggestions

If you suggest a topic for a Market, we collect what you send us and the email address you provide, so we can review the suggestion and follow up.

Content and Communications

We collect the content you submit, such as comments, video links, and messages you send to us or through the Service, including support requests and survey responses.

Device, Usage, and Analytics Data

When you use the Service, we automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, actions taken, and timestamps. We use this to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

Information From Third Parties

We receive public performance data (such as view counts) from the platforms where Clippers post, and we receive transaction results from our payment provider. If you arrive through a referral link, we record the referral code so the referral can be credited.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information to run the attention market, keep it honest, and improve it over time. Specifically, we use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including publishing and managing Markets and accounts.
  • Process contributions, payouts, and refunds through Stripe.
  • Comply with legal obligations, and detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and other prohibited activity.
  • Measure view delivery for each Market by reading public view counts from TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube and via their APIs.
  • Show funded amounts and delivered views for each Market.
  • Review topic suggestions and decide which Markets to publish.
  • Communicate with you about your account, transactions, updates, security alerts, and support.
  • Send you product news and marketing where permitted, which you can opt out of at any time.
  • Understand how the Service is used through analytics so we can improve performance and features.

4. Payments and View Measurement

Your payment method is charged when you fund a Market, and payments are processed by Stripe. We retain records of contributions, delivery, and refunds to support payouts, our 30-day refund commitment, tax and accounting obligations, and dispute resolution.

To measure delivery, Seenfold reads publicly available view counts from the relevant platforms and uses their APIs where available. This means we process data about the performance of Clipper videos and associate that performance with the Markets those videos support.

5. Information That Is Public

Some information is public by design so the market stays transparent. Seenfold displays each Market's funded amount and delivered views, along with its title and category.

Backers choose whether to appear publicly or remain anonymous. If you choose to appear publicly, your chosen display name and contribution may be shown alongside the Market you funded. If you choose anonymity, your contribution is still counted in the Market's aggregate totals, but your identity is not shown. You can change this preference for future contributions in your account settings. Content you post publicly, such as comments or a public profile, may be seen and copied by others, so please share thoughtfully.

6. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information for money.

Service Providers

  • Payment processor: Stripe, to process contributions, payouts, and refunds.
  • Advertising and measurement partners: such as Meta, to deliver and measure our own advertising, as described in Section 8.
  • Analytics, hosting, and infrastructure vendors: to operate, secure, and measure the Service.

Creators (Clippers)

We share only the limited information Clippers need to make videos for a Market, such as brief details and delivery targets. We do not share a Backer's identity with Clippers unless the Backer has chosen to appear publicly.

Legal and Compliance

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Seenfold, our users, or the public, or to enforce our Terms of Service.

Business Transfers

If Verge Clips, Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

With Your Direction

We share information publicly or with others when you ask us to, such as your choice to appear publicly as a backer of a Market.

7. Third-Party Platforms

The Service depends on third-party platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. When we read public view data or connect to their APIs, that data and any interaction with those platforms are governed by the platforms' own terms and privacy policies, not this one. Similarly, Stripe, Meta, and our other providers process certain information under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the policies of any third party whose services you use in connection with Seenfold.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Service, understand usage, and advertise. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function, while others support analytics, performance measurement, and advertising. We use advertising and measurement pixels from partners such as Meta, which set cookies and receive information about your visit so we can show you our ads elsewhere and measure how they perform. Under California law this may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you can opt out as described in Section 11. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where required we present cookie choices directly. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Service works. We honor recognized browser privacy signals, such as Global Privacy Control, where legally required.

9. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Retention periods depend on the type of data. For example, transaction and verification records are retained as required to meet financial, tax, and anti-fraud obligations, which may be several years. A Market's public funding and delivery totals may remain visible as part of its permanent record. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reliance on established providers such as Stripe for payment data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account by using a strong, unique password and by notifying us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.

11. Your Rights and Choices

You have choices about your information, and depending on where you live you may have additional legal rights.

General Choices

  • Access and correction: you can review and update most account information in your settings.
  • Deletion: you can request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to information we must retain for legal or compliance reasons.
  • Marketing opt-out: you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails.
  • Public visibility: you can choose to appear publicly or remain anonymous as a backer.

GDPR and EEA/UK Rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. We process personal data on legal bases including performance of a contract, our legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Verge Clips, Inc. is the controller and can be reached at the address in Section 15.

CCPA and California Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, the right to request access and deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do use advertising and measurement pixels, as described in Section 8, and that activity may be treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. To opt out, email us at hello@vergeclips.com, or send a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser, which we honor as a valid opt-out request. You can also disable advertising cookies in your browser settings.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@vergeclips.com. We will verify your request before acting on it, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

12. International Data Transfers

Verge Clips, Inc. is based in the United States, and we and our providers may process your information in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your location. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for international transfers of personal data.

13. Children and Young People

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us at hello@vergeclips.com and we will remove it.

Users between 13 and 18 may use the Service with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, as set out in our Terms of Service. A parent or guardian may contact us at any time to review, correct, or delete information about their child.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.

15. How to Contact Us
