Creator clipping: get your videos and streams clipped
Send your long videos and stream recordings. Independent creators clip them and post them from their own accounts with your handle on every caption. You pay for verified views.
Creator clipping is how YouTubers, streamers and podcasters get their long videos cut into short clips and posted across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube by other accounts. On Seenfold you buy it online at $1.50 per 1,000 verified views on 1 month or $1.05 on 6 months, with a minimum of 500,000 views a month, no sales call and no agency retainer.
This page is for creators who make more long-form video than they can cut and post themselves. It covers what clips well, how to protect your brand, a campaign week by week, what it costs, and how to tell it is growing your channel.
Got a backlog of videos or VODs? Start a campaign in a few minutes and send them from your dashboard after payment.
Why creators pay to get clipped
A long video or a stream reaches the people who already follow you. Short clips reach people who do not. When those clips are posted from other accounts, each with its own audience, one video can show up in many feeds at once, each clip carrying your name back to the full version.
Cutting and posting clips yourself takes hours you would rather spend making the next video, and your own short-form account starts from whatever following it already has. Clipping hands that work to independent creators who post from their own accounts. How the biggest creators use it is covered in how creators get their videos clipped.
What clips well from long videos and streams
- Big reactions. A win, a loss, a jump scare, a moment you could not believe. Streams are full of them.
- Stories with an ending. A story that lands its point inside a minute is a clip on its own.
- Hot takes and clear opinions. Something a viewer will want to agree or argue with.
- Collaborations and guests. A moment with another creator gives the clip a second audience that already knows one of you.
- Useful answers. A tip, a tutorial step or an answer to a question people search for.
Send the full video or the full VOD rather than your own highlights, so creators have every moment to choose from. Talking to camera, with your face and voice clear, gives a clip the best chance. More in what footage works best for clipping.
Protecting your brand and your rights
You set the brief, and creators are required to follow it. Use it to say what every caption carries, such as your handle or a link, and what is off limits: topics, segments, sponsors you cannot show, or anything you would not want out of context. Report any clip from your dashboard and we will have the creator take it down. Views it earned before it came down still count, unless the creator broke your brief.
You are responsible for the content you send, so check what is in it:
- Music. Songs playing in the background of a stream are usually not yours to use in promotional clips. Tell creators to avoid those segments, or send footage without them.
- Other people's videos. In a reaction video, the video you reacted to belongs to someone else. Ask creators to clip your commentary, not their footage.
- Guests. Make sure collaborators are fine with short clips of them being posted.
Clips are paid promotion, so creators disclose that wherever the law or the platform's branded content rules require it.
A creator clipping campaign, week by week
Day one
Choose your views a month and your term, and pay by card. Then send your videos and stream recordings as links or uploads on your dashboard, along with your brief.
The first week
A person reviews your footage and brief before delivery begins, and we aim to do that within one business day. Once accepted, creators start cutting and posting, and every clip appears on your dashboard with its creator, its link and its views.
The rest of the month
Clips go up through the month as they are made, so views build across the 30 days. Keep adding each new upload or stream as it goes live, so there is always fresh material to clip.
Day 30
Your dashboard shows views delivered against your plan. A month that comes up short rolls the shortfall into the next month, and views still undelivered when your plan ends are refunded to your card, except the first month if no footage ever arrives.
What creator clipping costs
The rate per 1,000 verified views is $1.50 on 1 month, $1.27 on 3 months and $1.05 on 6 months, billed monthly by card through Stripe. The minimum is 500,000 views a month.
| Plan | Rate per 1,000 | Monthly cost | Whole term |
|---|---|---|---|
| First month: 500,000 views on 1 month | $1.50 | $750 | $750 |
| Growing channel: 500,000 views a month on 3 months | $1.27 | $635 | $1,905 |
| Full-time creator: 1,000,000 views a month on 6 months | $1.05 | $1,050 | $6,300 |
Your logo on every clip adds $0.30 per 1,000 views. On the growing channel plan that brings the rate to $1.57 per 1,000, or $785 a month. See every term and add-on on the pricing page.
How to tell it is working
Views are counted from the view counts TikTok, Instagram and YouTube show, only on clips made and posted for your campaign. Fake views, such as views from bots or view farms, are not allowed and can be excluded. You can open any clip from your dashboard and check its count yourself.
Views show the clips were seen. Growth shows up on your own channels, so note these numbers before the campaign and compare month over month:
- Subscribers and followers on your main channel and your short-form accounts.
- Views on the full videos that were clipped, against videos that were not.
- Searches for your name and your channel.
- Stream viewers and new chatters who mention where they found you.
Give it a full month before you decide. Podcasters can read podcast clipping, and musicians music clipping service, for the details that apply to them.
