Seenfold vs clipping agencies
A clipping agency runs your campaign for you: you book a call, it scopes a plan and a price, and its team manages the creators. Seenfold is the self-serve alternative to a clipping agency: you pick a monthly plan of verified views at a published rate, pay online and upload your content, and creators clip it and post it. Agencies sell a team and a plan. Seenfold sells the views, today, without the call.
This page compares the two models, with real published terms from two managed clipping agencies as examples. An agency is the right answer for plenty of brands, and we say which ones.

What a clipping agency sells
A clipping agency turns your long videos into short clips and gets them posted by creators, and it runs the whole program on your behalf. The work it does for you usually includes planning which footage to use, briefing and vetting creators, checking clips against your rules, watching for fake views, and reporting results. What you get for that is a team that owns the outcome.
Two agencies publish enough to show the shape of it. Lumina Clippers charges a custom CPM per 1,000 verified views, with campaigns from $5,000 to $200,000 and more, and builds the exact price on a free strategy call. It lists strategy, clip production, distribution, QA, a live dashboard and weekly optimization as included, and says it has no multi-month contracts. Clipster describes end-to-end management of creator outreach, briefing, moderation, payouts and reporting, bills on verified views, and lists a Starter tier of $3,000 to $10,000, a Growth tier of $10,000 to $50,000 and custom pricing above that, each with a button to book a sales call. What Seenfold sells instead
Seenfold is self-serve clipping. You choose the views you want a month, from 500,000 up, and a term of 1, 3 or 6 months: $1.50 per 1,000 verified views on 1 month, $1.27 on 3 months, $1.05 on 6 months, billed monthly by card. Plans renew for a new term of the same length at the same rate, unless Seenfold emails a new rate at least 30 days before the term ends, until you stop renewal. A Tier 1 audience preference (audiences mostly in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia; a preference, not a guarantee) adds $0.40 per 1,000, and your logo on every clip adds $0.30. See the full pricing.
You pay, upload your footage and write a short brief. Independent creators clip it and post it from their own accounts on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. Every clip, its creator, its link and its views are on your dashboard, and any clip can be taken down from a button on that clip. Every month bought has 30 days to deliver, views still owed roll into the next month, and anything undelivered when the plan ends is refunded to your card, except the first month if your footage never arrives.
Where they differ
Time to start
An agency starts with a call and a scoping step, then a launch. Some are fast once that is done; Lumina, for example, quotes 24 to 72 hours from the call to clips going out once it has your content. Seenfold has no call, so if your footage is ready you can buy and upload in one sitting.
Price and minimum
The two published agency entry points above are $3,000 and $5,000. Seenfold's smallest plan is $750 a month on 1 month, or $525 a month on 6 months, for 500,000 verified views a month.
A higher agency price is not a worse deal by default. It pays for people: strategy, production and someone watching your campaign every week. The fair comparison is what you need. For how clipping is priced across all three kinds of seller, see what a clipping campaign costs.
Control and visibility
An agency gives you more say in direction, because you can talk the plan through with a person. Seenfold gives you less say in strategy but full sight of the work: every clip and its views, as they go live.
Commitment
Agency terms are agreed with you, so they vary. Seenfold's terms are published and the same for everyone: a term of 1, 3 or 6 months, billed monthly, renewing for the same term until you stop it (a new rate needs 30 days' emailed notice), with a lower rate the longer the term.
When an agency is the better choice
- You want someone else to own it. One accountable team and a program that runs without anyone in-house touching it.
- You need a strategy. If you do not yet know what to clip or why, an agency can work that out with you.
- Your needs are unusual. Several languages, legal sign-off on every clip, X distribution or custom reporting call for people who can make exceptions.
- You buy through procurement. A negotiated contract and an invoice may be the only way your company can pay.
When Seenfold is the better choice
- You want to start now. A launch or a new episode is worth more this week than after a sales process.
- You know what you want. You have the footage, a view target and a brief.
- Your budget is below an agency's minimum. Seenfold starts at $750 a month.
- You want the price up front. The rate card is public.

Questions
What is the alternative to a clipping agency?
A self-serve clipping service like Seenfold, where you buy views online at a published rate and creators clip and post your content, or a marketplace where you fund a budget and manage the creators yourself.
How much does a clipping agency cost?
It varies and is often quoted after a call. As published examples, Lumina Clippers lists campaigns from $5,000 and Clipster lists a Starter tier from $3,000, both billed on verified views.
Do I need a sales call to start clipping?
Not with Seenfold. You pick your views, pay by card and upload your content. Most managed agencies do start with a call.
What does Seenfold cost?
$1.50 per 1,000 verified views on a 1 month plan, $1.27 on 3 months and $1.05 on 6 months, billed monthly, with a minimum of 500,000 views a month.
Is an agency better than self-serve clipping?
Neither is better for everyone. An agency suits a brand that wants strategy and a managed program; self-serve suits a team that knows what it wants and wants to start now.
